Branding: M&S Schmalberg
M&S Schmalberg was founded in 1916 in the heart of New York City’s Garment District. Today, it stands as the last remaining fabric flower maker from that era, continuing to thrive across four generations. Their exquisite craftsmanship is showcased on the runways of top fashion houses around the world, as well as in iconic Broadway productions like Hamilton and hit series such as Bridgerton.
The Brief: Rebrand to reflect the legacy of a 100+ year-old brand while ensuring a cohesive, modern identity.

01/ Branding Identity

no 1.
I chose the classic Bodoni typeface for the logo, paired with a modern sans-serif for NEW YORK to emphasize the company’s roots and introduce a contemporary touch.
The tagline was updated from Custom Fabric Flowers to Handcrafted Fabric Florals Since 1916 to emphasize the brand’s rich heritage.
To enhance brand recognition and protect intellectual property, I aligned the website and all social media handles to msschmalberg.com and @msschmalberg.
